science alive fun

Yesterday Science Alive came to room 2 to teach us about chemistry experiments.

First Julie read us a mystery book that we had solve the mystery by doing experiments on the white powders.

Then Julie put us into groups and we went to our table. We got started with our first activity, which was adding acid to the white powders. The acid made the baking soda all fizzy.

My favourite experiment was to heat the powders because the flame made the powders melt and made burning smell.

Finally Julie showed us a rocket. At first I thought the rocket was not going to work then I heard a big boom it was the rocket. The rocket flew across the classroom.

Science Alive was amazing because Julie showed has an awesome rocket.
